The Role
To work effectively within the warehouse team, on the daily operations within the warehouse overseeing daily receipts and despatches, liaise closely with the General Manager maintaining good working relationships.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- To accurately control all good’s receipts, of stock within the DC.
- Coach, train and induct staff in correct working practice for Banks man and loading docks.
- Ensure all company standard operating procedures are followed.
- Scheduling all Deep Sea and European orders for delivery to the DC, allocating booking slots via the Hillebrand Axis
- Program, dealing with all necessary changes as required.
- Receipting all orders from the European Union via the EMCS Customs website.
- Daily liaison with the Inventory Manager at Head Office.
- Checking order confirmations from suppliers which are sent via email.
- Monitoring priority orders, advising at the earliest opportunity and potential issues with planned deliveries.
- Planning and compiling the delivery schedule for the following day’s deliveries.
- On goods arriving at the DC deal with 3rd party hauliers, and allocate loading bays. Any goods arriving which are not expected need to be reported to the General Manager/ Inventory Manager for further investigation if necessary.
- Checking all documentation on arrival of goods and ensuring that what has been signed for is correct and that it matches what has been booked in.
- During unloading of goods – deal with any delivery discrepancies i.e., short loads, missing or damage stock, pallet non-
- conformities and making decision with the management team as to whether goods are acceptable for receipt.

Knowledge & Skills Required
- Must have good knowledge of HMRC process and procedures.
- Attention to detail, effective communicator and self motivated
- Higher level PC skills
- Potential WSET
