We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Controller to join the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer! 

 

The Role

Accountable at a category level for the delivery of the sales plan and Availability for each product group. Managing the ongoing allocation and replenishment decisions to ensure availability within stores is to target and reflective of sales and stock cover targets. Effective stock management and accountable for raising of Purchase Orders for all products within defined lead times and economic order quantities that supports sales and to company stock targets.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining optimum availability in store of every product planned to be on sale by managing allocation & replenishment parameters appropriately.

  • Support the business in achieving the necessary stock reductions to deliver the Supply Chain strategy

  • Maximise availability for ALL promotional campaigns by managing the stock and on order process.

  • Delivering stock/inventory days targets alongside sales plan

  • Provide insight into Commercial/Retail Teams on key KPI's on forecasting and replenishment aid visibility for stores and customers

  • Capture data and validate information for vendor performance discussions with vendor base

  • Management of supplier based by maintaining an update date on order schedule

  • Work closely with Buying and Merchandising to effectively manage the full end to end supply chain process to company objectives

  • Analyse critical paths to ensure the product is in store or on-line as planned

  • Work alongside Commercial Teams to ensure smooth flow of stock into store in line with capacities and timings

  • Ensure orders are raised in line with the plan

  • Attend Category meetings to update and lead  Stock and Availability updates

  • The timely communication, management & Supply Chain execution of other planned promotional events.

  • Effective purchase order raising inline with company stock and cash flow targets

  • End to end supply chain principles and processes with an awareness of cost.

  • Strong Retail commercial awareness.

  • Knowledge of business IT systems (including TRS, Tableau & Iseries) – Can be Trained.

  • Business & Data integrity knowledge and knowledge of Buyers Database

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Be able to work at a fast pace

  • Have strong analytical skills/excel knowledge

  • Be a problem solver, you'll be able to think quickly under pressure.

  • Articulate and persuasive - you will be able to explain complex ideas and data findings to key stakeholders.

  • It is essential to be an advanced user of Excel and to be comfortable undertaking analysis using complex formulas.

  • Location: Watford. Our Head Office is based in Watford, just 20 minutes from London Euston. From Watford Junction, we are a 15-minute walk to our Head Office.
