Majestic Commercial, our On-Trade division of Majestic Wine, are recruiting a Key Account Executive to help support our regions across the UK!
The Role:
The National Account Executive is a key role within our sales team, responsible for supporting the management of growing our portfolio of national on-trade accounts across the UK.

Reporting to: Head of Key Accounts
Key Responsibilities:
Support the management and growth of sales with existing national on-trade accounts
Maintain and develop long-term customer relationships through regular communication and strategic account planning
Assist in the creation and execution of joint business plans with key customers
Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively resolve issues to ensure retention and loyalty
Conduct regular site visits to ensure adherence to brand standards and wine list compliance
Identify and qualify new on-trade business opportunities aligned with brand positioning and sales strategy
Support the Key Accounts Team in prospecting, researching target accounts, and preparing tailored sales presentations
Develop a pipeline of prospective key accounts and track progress against new business targets
Collaborate with the Key Accounts Team on account strategies, menu development, and promotional initiatives
Assist with customer menu design, wine pairing consultations, and implementation of brand-led activations
Support the creation of business reviews, performance summaries, and customer-facing decks
Provide regular sales forecasts, tracking, and performance updates to the Key Accounts Team
Analyse sales trends and customer performance to recommend growth opportunities or risk mitigation
Ensure all CRM and internal systems are updated accurately with customer activities and insights
Conduct engaging wine training sessions for on-trade partners to enhance knowledge, upselling skills, and brand affinity
Coordinate the logistics of training delivery, including organising samples, materials, and internal trainers
Act as a brand ambassador during training and events, representing the portfolio knowledgeably and enthusiastically
Collaborate with the marketing team to support brand launches, POS deployment, and national campaigns
Assist in the design and rollout of seasonal promotional plans and in-venue marketing support
Attend trade shows, tastings, customer events, and networking opportunities to promote the wine portfolio and strengthen industry connections
Ensure all commercial activities comply with internal policies, relevant licensing laws, and industry regulations
Knowledge & Skills Required:
2+ years of experience in the wine industry
WSET Level 2 Qualified
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proven experience in a similar role within the wine industry, with a good understanding of the on-trade sector.
Proven experience in delivering training sessions
Excellent relationship management skills
Strong knowledge of wine and the wine industry
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify and pursue sales opportunities.
Flexibility to work weekends and evenings
Passion for providing exceptional customer service
A passion for wine, with a good knowledge of the industry and its trends.
