The Role 

As a Stock Operative, you'll support your store team with boosting sales and ensuring the smooth operation of our store. Your mission: To help our customers discover and buy wines, beers and spirits they will love this Christmas. There will also be a strong focus on the manual side of the role, helping the team move stock around the shop, break down pallets of stock and achieve high visual merchandising standards.

 

Job Specifics:

  • Contract: Fixed-Term Contract (ending 24th December 2024)

  • Hours: 30 Hours Per Week

Key Responsibilities

At Majestic Wine, our customers are at the heart of everything we do. In the role as a Stock Operative you’ll be supporting your store team with driving sales performance and the day-day running of your store. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service and experience to optimise KPI performance. There will also be a strong focus on the manual side of the role, helping the team move stock around the shop, break down pallets and achieve high visual merchandising standards.

  • Involvement in all operational tasks required for the day-day operational running of Majestic Wine store - from delivering wine to our customers in one of our vans, merchandising stock deliveries and calling our valued customers to drive sales opportunities.

  • Ensure we’re operating safely by following all internal policies and training.

 

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Excellent time management, delegation and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.

  • Self-motivated, able to thrive when working alone and as part of a team.

  • A can-do attitude with a knack for solving challenges.

  • Adaptable and resilient to meet the ever-changing demands of our business.

  • Wine, beer & spirits knowledge is a plus, but a passion for learning is essential.

  • Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
