The Role
The primary responsibility of our Regional Managers is to maximise the profitability and sales performance of our stores, through a people focused approach, and to provide a service that supports the delivery and growth of our business objectives. You are the face of Majestic for your teams and colleagues supporting key initiatives and owning key business decisions as your own.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for driving strong KPI performance across all stores and deliver LFL sales growth and exceeding regional sales targets (AOV, Mission Completers & Contactability)
Managing the Regional P&L by controlling costs and maximising sales.
Constantly reviewing financial data and providing realistic input into sales budgets and cost control.
Analysing the performance of each store, as well as your own in store observations, to put in place the right actions to drive performance.
You are the face of Majestic for your teams and colleagues supporting key initiatives and owning key business decisions as your own.
Driving a higher performance culture through a people focused approach - Employee engagement and their wellbeing is at the heart of everything you do.
Working closely with your HR Business Partner to drive performance through your people through weekly and monthly meetings
Responsible for developing and supporting the Regional Operations Manager for your area, delivering high quality succession for the retail field structure,
Recruit the right people, for the right store at the right time ensuring we maintain the Majestic culture, in collaboration with your Talent Partner and HRBP.
Leadership responsibility for your Region - driving performance through effective objective setting, motivating, coaching and monitoring. Adapting your style to the colleague and scenario.
Build and maintain strong relationships with all key Support Centre teams.
Follow internal policies and procedures to protect the business - ensuring we treat everyone fairly and with respect.
Support L&D initiatives to help deliver performance & compliance across your Region
Maintains and nurtures Majestic company culture and values in all store related initiatives.
Ensure compliance - keeping us safe and legal.
Take accountability and pride for the physical appearance and maintenance of your stores - ensuring swift reporting, local solutions where possible and escalation until resolved.
Proactively manage all escalated operational issues, and communicate to key stakeholders at the right time, follow up and keep on the agenda until resolved.
Spend time in stores with teams and customers through regular store visits, to understand and identify business critical issues, to ensure alignment of daily store operations and the delivery of the strategic goals.
Is in the detail - stays close to store operations - e.g. stock levels, rota management, property issues, opening/closing times, shrinkage
Knowledge & Skills Required
WSET Level 3
Strong leadership skills, being able to influence, with an ability to build strong relationships across the business.
Strong team building skills, coupled with excellent organisational and motivational ability.
Works at pace, demonstrates resilience, passion, energy and a can-do attitude.
A creative thinker, with a common sense approach to problem-solving and the ability to develop creative and effective solutions to business challenges.
Ambitious and results-driven
Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills
Experienced and driven retail leader with at 5+ years retail leadership experience
Sound business acumen and personal gravitas
Proven track record of retail sales achievement via KPI's
Highly organised, with a strategic commercial outlook
Self-starter and keen to take initiative
Industry knowledge is highly desirable - passion and wine knowledge essential!
Clean driving licence

Contract: Permanent
Location: Field Based - West Region (Region F)
