We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Operations Manager to join the East region.
The Role:
The primary responsibility of our Regional Operational Managers is to work alongside the Regional Manager to maximise the profitability and sales performance of our stores, through a people focused approach, and to provide a service that supports the delivery and growth of our business objectives. You are the face of Majestic for your teams and colleagues driving and owning key initiatives and owning business decisions as your own.
You are responsible for your Region to maximise sales opportunities through flawless execution of retail standards, operations and compliance. Driving the performance of the region through a people focused culture to drive overall engagement and retention.
Working with your RM to drive regional performance through building and executing plans to optimise KPI performance and ensuring stores are fully compliant in key areas (Learning & Development, Company Policies & Procedures, Health & Safety and Store Standards).
You will use your retail experience to drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to raise the bar.
Key Responsibilities:
Working with the RM to Drive sales and cash culture across the Region.
Optimise KPI performance across the Region by working with the RM to identify monthly focus KPIs and relevant stores support
Running the regional operations and driving sales and KPIs in the RM’s absence
Support the L&D initiatives to ensure a high level of engagement and completion
Working with your RM, the region’s Flexi Team Manager and HRBP to deliver a people plan that maximises sales across the Region
Maintains and nurtures Majestic company culture and values in all store related initiatives
Working with the RM & HR Business Partner with delivery of the regional people plan through the organisation and implementation of policies & procedures (EG 121’s, interviews, investigations, development plans etc)
Expectation of visibility in stores 4-5 days a week
Working closely with the RM, to get a thorough understanding of the role to ensure continuous development to become the next RM
Feedback and contribute to the wider Regional sales plan through your observations and experience
Maintaining a physical store property standards to a high level which we are proud of by checking all property aspects on each visit, reporting any damage or issues and escalating in a timely and effective manner
Proactively manage all escalated operational issues, and communicate to relevant stakeholders at the right time, follow up and keep on the agenda.
Driving compliance across the region by monitoring & reporting on Store Standards and Health & Safety practices. Coach Store Managers in making improvements which are sustainable and inline with regional best practice.
Be a point of contact for store operational issues, escalating to the right person at the right time.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
High level of knowledge on Majestic’s in-store operational working practices
Previous experience of building and developing high performing store teams
Excellent attention to detail, planning and time management skills
Able to collaborate and communicate with a wide variety of key stakeholders
