The Role:
Reporting into the Content Manager at Majestic, the Content Executive creates engaging, informed and persuasive content across all marketing channels. From email campaigns to direct mail, social media, web content and in-store materials, you’ll write compelling copy that reflects Majestic’s expert voice and inspires customers to explore and purchase great wines. In this fast-paced role, you’ll balance multiple projects, proactively manage deadlines, and take ownership of your work. Your writing will be informed, authoritative and engaging – helping to position Majestic as the go-to destination for wine expertise
Key Responsibilities:
Create compelling content across all channels, including email, social media, web, print, in-store materials and direct mail, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging.
Write expert-led, engaging product descriptions for retail and commercial wines, covering tasting notes and food pairings that align across in-store, online and direct mail.
Develop SEO-optimised web content, including blog articles, landing pages and product copy that enhances discoverability and drives customer engagement.
Craft high-converting marketing copy for campaigns, ensuring email, social and digital ads are persuasive, customer-focused and commercially effective.
Support the development of in-store communications, including point-of-sale materials, shelf talkers and promotional signage, ensuring alignment with digital and print messaging.
Work collaboratively with designers, e-commerce, CRM and buyers to produce content that meets business objectives while maintaining an authoritative and engaging tone.
Maintain an organised content library, ensuring editorial assets from direct mail, online and print campaigns are easily accessible for future use.
Contribute to creative planning meetings, bringing fresh ideas for content campaigns, seasonal promotions and customer engagement initiatives.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of wine, with the ability to write about it with authority and clarity. Wine industry qualifications are a plus but not essential.
Experience in drinks industry marketing, copywriting, or editorial work.
Exceptional grasp of the English language, with impeccable grammar and an eagle eye for detail.
Ability to translate complex wine knowledge into accessible, engaging content for a range of audiences.
Experience in SEO, digital marketing, or advertising is beneficial.
A genuine passion for wine, beer and spirits. You know your claret from your Cÿtes du Rhÿne and are eager to keep learning.

Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Watford and Hemel Hempstead. Our Head Office is based in Watford, just 20 minutes from London Euston. From Watford Junction, we are a 15-minute walk to our Head Office.
