We have an exciting opportunity for a Content Executive to join the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer!

The Role:

Reporting into the Content Manager as Majestic Wine Content Executive you will work within the Marketing Team to write engaging content across all touchpoints of the business. You’ll be capable of balancing multiple projects, proactively managing your own time, working in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines and taking accountability for your work.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Manage the production of the monthly direct mail brochure and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure this is delivered on time and on brand.

  • Write copy for monthly direct mail brochure and email campaigns which engages customers and persuades them to purchase.

  • Provide the same quality of content for web, print and social channels as required.

  • Write new copy for retail and commercial lines in line with the Majestic tone of voice. Appropriate signed-off names, tasting notes and food matches for point-of-sale tickets, ensuring in-store content is in line with what's online and in direct mail.

  • Be responsible for saving editorial copy from direct mail, and online in a content library.

  • Work with the digital marketing and online team to produce search-engine-optimised copy, spanning blog articles, product-display and product-listing pages and web content.

  • Contribution of ideas in creative and planning meetings.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • A good knowledge of wines, beer and spirits. WSET qualifications are a plus, but not essential

  • A degree in English, journalism, history, marketing or a humanities subject preferred

  • You will have experience working in the drinks industry or advertising

  • You will have an exceptional understanding of the English language and have an eagle eye for an Oxford comma.

  • Knowledge of search-engine optimisation, copywriting and advertising is a benefit.

  • You will know your claret from your Cÿtes du Rhÿne and have a passion to learn about all things wines, beers and spirits-related.

  • Location: Watford. Our Head Office is based in Watford, just 20 minutes from London Euston. From Watford Junction, we are a 15-minute walk to our Head Office.
