The Role:

To support the efficient and compliant operation of the Distribution Centre by coordinating daily activities, developing team capability through learning and development initiatives, and providing comprehensive administrative support to management. The role ensures a safe working environment, drives team growth, and contributes to continuous operational improvement.

 

Job Specifics:

  • Contract Type: Permanent

  • Hours per week: 37.5 office based

  • Location: Hemel Hempstead, Boundary Way 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reporting to support performance and decision-making.

  • Support workforce planning to ensure staffing levels align with operational demand.

  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders and act as liaison for agency labour.

  • Maintain compliance across right-to-work, training, and payroll documentation.

  • Provide high-quality administrative support, including meeting minutes, reporting, and ad hoc project assistance.

  • Coordinate on-site repairs and facilities issues to minimise operational disruption.

  • Support Health & Safety initiatives to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse, logistics, or operational support environment.

  • Good understanding of compliance processes, including right-to-work, training, payroll, and Health & Safety requirements (IOSH qualification desirable).

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and with external agencies.

  • Experience working in KPI-driven environments with strong reporting and data accuracy skills.

  • Highly organised with excellent time management and the ability to prioritise competing demands.

  • Confident using Microsoft Office and workforce or payroll systems.

  • Proactive, detail-focused, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
