Alex joined Majestic in February 2020 to take responsibility for the Finance team, as well as the overall direction of the retailer’s channel and trading offer. He was promoted to Group Chief Financial Officer in May 2025, with additional responsibility for property across Majestic Retail and Vagabond as both businesses accelerate their bricks-and-mortar expansion.

Alex has a wealth of experience at both public and privately owned businesses, having previously spent time at Tesco, Hamleys, Costa Coffee, and Oasis Warehouse Group. That expertise has proved pivotal in the acquisitions of both Vagabond and Enotria&Coe, and the creation of Majestic Wine Group.

Favourite drink: A good Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
