Hopefully we’ve given you a clear picture about what it’s like to work here but if there’s anything you’re still unsure about, you may find the answer here.

Q. What’s the salary at Trainee Manager level?
A. Starting salaries are between £17,000 to £18,700, depending on location and excluding bonus.

Q. Do I have to relocate in order to work for Majestic?
A. Almost certainly. During your training you’ll need to work in a least two stores and your chances to progress to Assistant Manager, Store Manager or beyond will be far greater if you are prepared to be mobile.

Q. Can I choose which store I start in?
A. You can state a preference in your application and we’ll try to accommodate this but we can’t guarantee it. However, we will do our best to place you as near as possible to where you want to be.

Q. Do I need to know about wine in order to work for Majestic?
A. You will need to have a genuine enthusiasm for wine but you won’t need to be an expert. Our training will take care of that.

Q. What happens if I don’t have a driving licence?
A. Unfortunately that means we won’t be able to accept your application as all our staff need to be able to drive.

Q. What happens if I have a driving licence but haven’t held it for a year?
A. You can still make your application as long as you’ve held your licence for around ten months, although you won’t be able to start with us until you’ve held it for a year.

Q. I’ve held my driving licence for over a year but it isn’t a UK licence. Can I still apply?
A. Yes. Licences issued in other countries are often valid in the UK for a set period before you are required to exchange them. The DVLA has more information on exchanging your foreign driving licence.

Q. I’m not a graduate. Can I still apply?
A. Yes. We also consider applications from suitably experienced people with the right personal qualities.

Q. I graduated over 5 years ago. Can I still apply?
A. Yes. And the fact that you will have gained additional professional and life experiences since graduating is something we see as an asset.

Q. How do I get to my interview at your head office in Watford?
A. Our address is Majestic House, Otterspool Way, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD25 8WW. If you are travelling here by car it is just off junction 5 of the M1.
